Moss Mohair Scarf
This one-of-a-kind scarf is soft, intricate, and full of quiet character. Created by Celina Debowska, co-founder of the Warsaw-based knitwear studio Celapiu, it channels the sisters’ background in theater design and their whimsical, sculptural approach to fashion.
We first fell in love with Celapiu’s work over a decade ago, when we acquired a knit fox stole and braided headpiece that still bring us joy. Our collaboration for this project began with an invitation to imagine moss in textile form. Celina responded with this ultra-soft scarf, woven from locally sourced cotton and kid mohair.
Look closely, and you’ll see a landscape of minute variations — alternating patterns, tiny shifts in color, and subtle changes in weave that recall the diversity of a forest floor. Each section seems to echo a different species: some dense and velvety, others fine and feathery. Whether draped around the shoulders or displayed as a textile study, the piece invites touch and contemplation.
